Carmel Country Club Welcomes Craig Meyer as New Executive Chef

Craig Meyer, CEC, AAC will be joining the Carmel Country Club team as Carmel’s new Executive Chef in late August. Meyer comes to Carmel highly recommended by David Meyers (Executive SearchFirm) and industry peers. He has a versatile skillset with a focus on mentoring and training as well as expertise in building and launching new facilities.
Chef Meyer is a culinary authority with more than 20 years of progressive experience in premiere clubs.
He joins Carmel from Lakeside Country Club in Houston, Texas where he served as Executive Chef for 12 years. Lakeside is a top family club with a food & beverage operation of similar size and scope to Carmel. At Lakeside, his initial objective was to upgrade the existing offerings by tailoring menus, maintenance standards, and events to appease the newer member demographics.
Following extensive damage caused by Hurricane Harvey in 2017, Chef Meyer oversaw a full-scale rebuild and reorganization of the clubhouse kitchen. Since reopening, he has been honored by the AmericanAcademy of Chefs, he received the silver medal for Regional Chef of the Year, and was a gold medalist for the BEK ACF-sanctioned Culinary Salon.
