Mizner Country Club announced Mark Bado, MCM, CCE, has joined the Club as its new General Manager & Chief Operating Officer. Mark will oversee all Club activities and day-to-day operations of this premier country club community in his new position.
Mark joins Mizner Country Club from the highly regarded Houston Country Club, Houston, TX, where he has served in a similar capacity for the past three years.
Previous experience includes the Myers Park Country Club in Charlotte, NC, where he was General Manager & Chief Operating Officer. Mark also helped oversee the Oakmont Country Club's major golf tournament, including Men's and Women's US Opens, while he was working there.
In making the announcement, Ron Gaché, Mizner’s Board President, said, “Over the past 26 years, Mark has taken on significant challenges at clubs of all sizes nationwide. His efforts and focus remained consistent while the clubs' size and location changed. Mark, along with the management team, Board, and committees, at each of these opportunities, focused on the membership and staff experience. He has worked to help evolve the Club's governance, strategic planning, team building, financial acumen and responsibility, and board relations. He is recognized as a developer of outstanding teams. We’re excited to have Mark join our Club and help us elevate all we do at Mizner.

Commenting on his appointment, Bado noted that his priorities include involvement with the membership, the Board, and his management team. As he takes the helm, his priorities are reviewing existing amenities and services and developing plans to continue elevating the Club's position as a premier country club community. "I am excited to be part of Mizner Country Club's community. I look forward to leading the Club on its continuing journey to elevate its position as a national leader in the country club community market. I aim to continue enriching both the membership and the staff experience, along with heightening the Club's brand. I also look forward to working with an outstanding team and a committed Board of Directors as we continue to enhance a superior lifestyle for our current and future members," he noted.
Mark was actively involved in several professional associations and was elected to the National Club Management Association of America (CMAA) Board of Directors and later served as the Association’s Chairman. In 2012, Mark earned his Master Club Manager (MCM), becoming only one of 22 worldwide to hold this distinction.
Mark and his wife Wendy will make South Florida their new home.
