BoardRoom magazine congratulates Frank Cordeiro, Chief Operating Officer at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, on five years of visionary leadership and a transformational journey still unfolding.
Since joining Colonial in 2019, Cordeiro has embraced the challenge issued decades ago by club founder Marvin Leonard: “It’s not good enough to be better—you must be better and different.” That guiding principle has shaped Cordeiro’s strategic approach, culminating in the club’s $100 million master plan to honor Colonial’s iconic past while positioning it for a dynamic future.
From a Gil Hanse-led golf course restoration and state-of-the-art greens system, to a new three-story clubhouse reimagining dining, wellness, and entertainment, Cordeiro’s tenure has sparked a cultural and physical evolution. Highlights include Hawks Landing, an experiential rooftop restaurant; Leonard’s bistro and grill; a TCU-partnered golf performance center; and a full campus renovation that makes room for racquets, wellness, family engagement, and remote work—without losing sight of the legacy that made Colonial legendary.
Under Cordeiro’s leadership, Colonial has not only preserved its place in golf history, it has elevated its relevance for the next generation of members.
BoardRoom salutes Frank Cordeiro for five years of excellence, innovation, and service to the future of private clubs.
