John Scharer, CCM has joined Strategic Club Solutions as Club Search and Strategy Specialist. He is an elite club professional with over 35 years of experience in the management of athletic clubs, country clubs, and city clubs. Notably, John served as General Manager of the Charlotte City Club for 24 years. During his tenure he led the Club to be recognized as a Platinum Club of America since 2012 and achieved Platinum Club of the World status in 2020, a designation only bestowed on 250 clubs worldwide. Most recently, he was the Founder and President of The Private Club Group, providing interim management, executive search, and consulting services to the private club industry. In his role at Strategic Club Solutions, John will assist clubs with executive search, strategic planning, interim management placement, and consulting services.
