Luke O’Boyle Bids Farewell to Chevy Chase Club After 21 Years

After more than two decades of exceptional leadership, Chevy Chase Club bids farewell to General Manager/CEO Luke O’Boyle. This summer, Mr. O’Boyle will begin a new chapter in Florida, where he’ll be closer to extended family.

During his 21-year tenure, Mr. O’Boyle’s thoughtful leadership, vision, and commitment to excellence have shaped every facet of club life—from transformative capital projects to building one of the strongest management teams in the industry. His mentorship has elevated careers and strengthened the Club’s culture, leaving a legacy that will endure for generations.

At a recent farewell celebration, staff and colleagues gathered to honor Mr. O’Boyle with gratitude, laughter, and heartfelt reflection. In his parting remarks, he shared: “The measure of one’s success is in leaving a place better than it was—and in the friendships that continue long after.”
