Kevin Vitale, CCM, Retires After More Than Two Decades of Visionary Leadership at Baltusrol Golf Club

After 23 transformative years at the helm of Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey, Kevin Vitale, CCM, has announced his retirement at the conclusion of the 2025 season. A respected figure in the private club industry, Vitale joins a distinguished group of leaders whose careers have left an indelible mark on the fabric of club culture.

Since 2003, Vitale has served as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of Baltusrol, guiding the club through a period of remarkable progress. Under his leadership, Baltusrol underwent major renovations—including the full restoration of the historic Upper Course and a newly completed entrance and bag drop project at the clubhouse—while maintaining its standing as one of the premier private golf clubs in the country.

“As we prepare to reopen the Upper Course and return to full operations in 2025, I find myself reflecting on everything we’ve accomplished together,” Vitale shared. “I’m so grateful for the support of our members and staff over the years. It’s been a privilege to serve this club and community.”

Vitale’s career in club leadership began at The Hartford Golf Club, where he served as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer from 1999 to 2003. His transition to Baltusrol marked the beginning of a defining chapter—one shaped by thoughtful governance, operational excellence, and a commitment to preserving tradition while embracing innovation.
