Jeff Morgan, FASAE (Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives), CAE (Certified Association Executive) will lead Tee It Up for the Troops as its 2025 Chairman. Previously, he served as Vice-Chairman in 2024 and first joined the organization’s board in May 2018. His term as Board Chair began on January 1, 2025.
Morgan currently serves as the President & CEO of the Club Management Association of America (CMAA). He has led the Association for more than 10 years.
Tee It Up for the Troops is a national non-profit organization founded in 2005 by the family and friends of a soldier serving in Iraq. When the soldier’s father asked him what he needed, the son responded by asking his father to do something for the returning service members and their families back home. Tee It Up for the Troops was established to honor that selfless request.
Since its inception, Tee It Up for the Troops has inspired communities across the USA to host fundraising events on behalf of the military men and women who have sacrificed immeasurably for our freedom. Tee It Up for the Troops has hosted nearly 800 events in more than 40 states and has donated more than $17 million to partnering organizations that serve veterans across the country. The proceeds from these events benefit veterans and their families from all branches and all conflicts.
President and Executive Director Tim Wegscheid explains, “Our organization is very excited to have Jeff Morgan stepping up to the tee as our new Chairman of the Board. His extensive experience in leadership, nonprofit management, and strategic planning will play a pivotal role as we continue to expand our impact for veterans and military families nationwide. His guidance will help us enhance productivity, improve efficiencies, and foster innovation across all areas of the organization. We are deeply grateful for the contributions of the many dedicated volunteers who have supported our mission over the past 20 years, and we are confident that Jeff will build upon this legacy during his tenure as Chairman.”
As Chairman, Morgan will lead the Board of Directors to further its mission to engage communities to raise awareness and provide support to America’s military veterans by organizing golf events, outreach programs, and fundraisers.
