The Club Management Association of America (CMAA) has honored Ernest LaRocca Jr., CCM, CCE, CMAA Fellow, General Manager of Bay Waveland Yacht Club in Bay St. Louis, MS, with induction into the prestigious CMAA Fellows Program. Recognized at the Opening Business Session of the 2025 World Conference & Club Business Expo in Tampa, FL, LaRocca joins an elite group of industry leaders who have made a profound impact on the club management profession.

With more than 40 years of experience, LaRocca has demonstrated unwavering dedication to leadership, mentorship, and excellence in club management. A CMAA member for 46 years, LaRocca has shaped and elevated private club operations. His deep industry knowledge, commitment to member service, and passion for mentoring the next generation of club leaders have solidified his reputation as a respected authority in the field.

Selection as a CMAA Fellow is a rare distinction, awarded to fewer than 0.5 percent of CMAA members. The rigorous selection process includes a peer nomination, an in-depth application detailing the nominee’s leadership, innovation, and contributions, and interviews with a peer-comprised selection committee. Now in its seventh year, the CMAA Fellows community consists of 43 distinguished individuals who serve as mentors, thought leaders, and champions of both CMAA and the broader club industry.
