Aaron Dawson joins Carmel Country Club in Charlotte, North Carolina as the new GM / COO. Dawson has over 25 years of experience in hospitality, both fine dining and private clubs. He has been highly successful with many achievements in his time in the industry. Prior to starting at Carmel, Aaron was the general manager of Miramont Country Club in College Station, Texas, where he served since 2014.
Prior to Miramont, Dawson led the highly regarded Chenal Country Club for over four years and was the host manager of the Southern Amateur Championship. He initially moved to the club industry in 2005 as general manager for Bentwater Yacht & Country Club, a property with three golf courses, three clubhouses, a fitness center and day spa, marina and villas.
Dawson is active in professional development and civic endeavors. He is a certified Birkman Personality Assessment consultant, he recently served as president of the CMAA Texas Chapter, is on the board of trustees of Allen Academy (private school in College Station), and is active in chairing The Cadet Golf Classic, a fundraiser to support Folds of Honor and Allen Academy.
Dawson joins Carmel after an extensive search and recruitment effort by executive search firm, Kopplin Kuebler & Wallace. Aaron has been identified and referenced for his especially strong leadership and communication skills, his sound financial acuity, innovation with member and event programming, and ability to transform several food and beverage programs.
